Mark Pendergrast is an investigative journalist and author of several books, including Victims of Memory: Sex Abuse Accusations and Shattered Lives, an encyclopedic book detailing the derailment of scientific method in psychology regarding false memories and the impact such faulty science has had on patients, society and our legal system. Scientific American praised Victims of Memory as "an impressive display of scholarship. Pendergrast demonstrates a laudable ability to lay out all sides of the argument."
Mr. Pendergrast is on the board of directors for the National Center for Reason and Justice, a non-profit group that works to educate the public about the continuing problem of people falsely charged with abusing children.
